To whom much is given...

During the regular session of the Amigos de Jesus youth group on August 6, the youth reflected on the theme of Sunday's Gospel - to whom much as been given, much will be expected.

The evenining began with the recitation of the Rosary in the Hope Room at 5:45 pm. Following, the youth went outside for a few icebreaker songs and activities. The Bible came out after this as Br. Joseph led the youth in reflecting on the theme of the gift that is given and shared. Some of the youth shared their own thoughts and ideas about the Gospel passage as well as the ways that it challenged them in their day to day lives.

At the end of the session, the birthday cake was brought out and both Robert and Nadine were treated to a hoarse and off-key rendition of "happy birthday." After several attempts neither seemed able to blow out the tiny candles.

The session ended with some reminders and details about next weekend Amigos de Jesus retreat. Permission forms and information for parents were given to all the youth participating.

As a reminder, due to the reterat next weekend, there will be no regular Friday session. God's peace!
