Its a Done Deal

After four last minute entries, I dropped off the registration form for the Steubenville of the Rockies Youth Conference at 3:00 PM today. With the new additions, the total number of Amigos de Jesus going is 22. We may have one of the largest showings of any youth group in the country - maybe. I ran into Christ Stefanick in the youth office when I was dropping off the forms and he seemed really excited about this year's conference. I think it is going to be an amazing and powerful experience that will strengthen your faith, your friendships, and your relationship with Jesus Christ!

Conference

Once again, the conference will take place from July 8-10 at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver. Registration will take place that Friday between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM with the evening session beginning at 6:00 PM. The conference will consist of some great Catholic speakers, Christian rock bands, small groups, activities, adoration, confession, and of course Mass. For meals during the conference we will find probably roam the 16th Street Mall!

Overnights

The sessions end late and begin early. For that reason, ADJ has rented out Centro San Juan Diego for Friday and Saturday nights. You will need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, cover, and whatever change of clothes and shower supplies you will need. There will be separate sleeping quarters for guys and gals.

Transportation

We will get to and from the conference using the parish vans - "Big Blue" and "Old Brown" and the friars' grocery-getter "Man Van." That will not be enough so some people will have to hold on to the roof of the vans or run really fast behind us. Those lucky enough to drive within the safe confines of Br. Joseph's van will enjoy a smooth, safe, and relaxing voyage to their destination.

Group Leaders

There are four ADJ adults going to the conference as leaders and chaperones: Br. Joseph, Alejandra, Jose, and Francisco.

Participants

There are 18 ADJ youth attending the conference: Antonio, Kim, Karla, Massiel, Jessica, Iliana, Robert, Bianca, Julio, Teresa, Aide, Alicia, Kerin, Biri, Veronica, Omar, Ricky, and Ruby.
