November Theme: Sacrament of Reconciliation

According to the new session format, the Amigos de Jesus youth group will revolve around a four week cycle of sessions which focus on a particular catechetical theme. The theme will be looked at from the four pillars of the faith as described in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. These are 1) Profession of faith 2) Sacraments and Liturgy 3) Moral life, and 4) Prayer. Each element is necessary for a genuine life of faith that touches every aspect of the human person and the community. The sessions will break down like this:

Week 1 - Introduce theme / Scripture in 2 Small Groups / Celebration (hymn)
Week 2 - Deeper on theme / Discussion question for small groups / Teaching / Celebration (hymn)
Week 3 - Applying theme / Scripture in 2 Small Groups / Celebration (hymn)
Week 4 - Celebrating theme / Eucharistic Adoration w/ Confession / Large group sharing

In order to help supplement what we are talking about in the sessions I am going to be sending out emails and posting "theme supports" to this blog which will aid our monthly theme. I think it will be of great help in better coming to understand the different aspects of our Catholic faith.
