Living the Catholic Faith Conference

Some of the youth from Amigos de Jesus, along with Alejandra, Maria, and Br. Joseph, attended Denver's annual "Living the Catholic Faith Conference" at the Denver Convention Center on Saturday, February 27.

The youth joined thousands of other Catholics from across the city in celebrating the richness of their faith. The conference featured several exciting speakers including Bishop Oscar Cantú of San Antonio, Texas who spoke on the relationship of the Church as the bride and spouse of Christ. The youth especially enjoyed two talks given by Dr. Janet Smith who spoke on the important role of the family as a breeding ground for Christian virtues and the Catholic response to individuals with homosexual inclinations.


During the break the youth headed over to the 16th Street Mall for a quick lunch at Subway and McDonalds. After the session, the youth returned to Annunciation in time to help with the 6:00 pm youth Mass. Some photos from the day are posted below.
