Scripture, Sharing, and Stations

Rehearsing the Stations of the Cross was the main task of the Amigos de Jesus youth group on Friday, February 26 at their regular weekly session in the Hope Room at Annunciation Church. Next Friday the youth will lead the first of two series of Stations of the Cross for the entire parish.

The meeting began with prayer and a reflection on the Gospel by Maria, with sharing and additional insights from Alejandra and Br. Joseph. The youth reflected on the importance of taking advantage of this season of preparation to turn our heart to Christ. This may mean rooting out sinful, unhealthy habits, forgiving an old grudge, or making resolutions for following Christ more closely in the future.

Afterward the youth engaged in some familiar ice breakers before beginning their practice of the Stations of the Cross. The youth are asked to arrive next week by 5:30 pm in order to help set up for the Stations, get in costume, prepare their readings, and get in some last minute practice.
