A Session on Divine Mercy

The main theme was Divine Mercy as the youth from Amigos de Jesus met for their regular session on Friday, April 9 in the Hope Room at Annunciation Church.

The group began with the recitation of the Rosary, a new practice which will be the way we begin all of the regular session in the future. It is one way in which we are trying to incorporate more prayer into our meetings. It is something the Church highly recommends and that Our Lady has asked for in all of her apparitions.

As Sunday, April 11 was Divine Mercy Sunday, the main theme for the evening was the message of Divine Mercy given to St. Faustina Kowalska in a series of revelations from Jesus Christ. The youth spent time reflecting on the scriptures from this Sunday and also learned a little about the history of the popular devotion.

Following, there was a team ice-breaker that focused on the need for communication and trust in the courtyard outside the Hope Room. Fortunately, no one was injured during the activity :)

The meeting continued with the celebration of recent birthdays, namely Br. Joseph's, and the bonus of a tres leches cake! The session concluded with a chaplet prayer.

Because the youth leaders will be away on the confirmation retreat, there will be no Amigos de Jesus session next Friday. Our next meeting will be on Friday, April 23 at 5:45 pm.
